I just purchased a pristine 1996 Collectors Edition with the LT4 motor (30k original miles, one owner). The only thing not working is the pneumatic part of the drivers seat. The compressor runs fine and all the lumbar supports etc work fine on the passenger seat. When I put the ds/ps seat into the ps posiiton and attempt to operate any of the lumbar controls, the compressor starts to run and then shuts off immediately like it is trying to pump against a plugged line (best way i can describe it). This happens with any of the lumbar switches and both in the inflate and the deflate positions. I don't yet have a service manual for the car so I can't look there (yet). Any ideas from anyone who has delved into this system? Thanks in advance for any help.

The compressor runs both seats!!My guess is that someone has had 1 or both seats out and pinched the lines somewhere between the seats!!;shrug :thumb

Found the problem

Using the info from another post here, I figured out how to release the seat bottoms to get ot the mechanisms on both sides. After a bit of visula troubleshooting I found the multi-pin electrical connector that plugs into the module with the colored hoses under the drivers seat was ppatially unplugged. Plugged it in fulla and everything works fine..
