My digital readout says all is well. Car does not seem hot.
Analog gage says temp is close to 260.
I am planning to replace the analog temp sensor. Where is this one located? How do I identify it to the parts guy? How much of a bitch will this job be?

Changed sensor in the head . Running 224 digital. 260 analog. 45 degree ambient air temp .
Digital temp reached 230. Both fans came on . Digital temp is now 220.
Analog gage fluxuating between last two marks on gage.
Car idling with hood open.
Note. Thermostat changed last year. 5000 miles ago.
Water pump changed with opti 3000 miles ago.

I don't know C4's real well, but I do know that your digital reading's are normal and that the ECU is controlling the digital numbers, so your engine should be fine.

If there isn't a separate sender for your analog gauge, then your wiring or dash unit is suspect.
