2'' or 4'' bolster

I'm going to replace the seat covers in my 81 and also replace the foam seat inserts. Right now I have two inch Bolster Cloth Seat Covers, but will be replacing them with Leather,because the cloth ones are not available.

my question is: Are the 4" bolsters better than 2" ?

Hey Grizz,

Well, I have 2" bolster in Rare, not that means a darn thing, except I'm pretty wide across the beam and "NUT" told me that the 4" bolsters are pretty snug for hiim, and he's doesn't come near wearing the same sport coat as me

Maybe you need this as an excuse to make a car show, and see if a few owners will let you try a few seats out or just flag down a few Sharks, Grizz, at 6'6" if you asked nice I would let you try out the seats in any car I have

I thought that maybe the 4" bolster maybe a little uncomfortable for us wide bodies, but I wasn't sure. I think that I will stick with the 2"bolster. There is a Car show in a couple weeks at the Space and Rocket Center here, maybe I will see a C3 with 4" bolsters like you said.

Grizz..... do NOT get the 4" bolsters!!!!! Unless you are built like a jockey (which you're not) hahahaaha they will be very uncomfortable. I have a small pillow I slip in behind me when I drive that makes it OK now. Stay with the 2".
