2000' C5 LS1 Headlights

Can someone please tell me why my headlights come on when I release the emergency brake. The headlights are in the off position and can't be turned off until I turn off the ignition. Then I turn the headlights on then off.

Does this happen in the daylight? Do you have Twilight Sentinel ON?

Thank you dadaroo. I didn't know what the twilight sentinel was. I turned it off and that fixed the problem.
