I am looking at buying a 2000 convertible. When I pressed either seat memory 1 or 2 button it shut down the A/C Climate control. Cut it completely off. Is this normal? It was not a GM Dealer and no one there knew what to say about that.
Thanks,Mark respond if you like directly to ghfun@aol.com.

Wait a minute. Maybe it is normal if the air was off when the computer memorized the setting. To test it set all the controls seat position, mirror and radio. Push and hold the # 1 memory button till it blinks then turn the car off remove and reinset the key hit the #1 button and see what happens.

What he said. Also see it the owner will loan you the maunal to read overnight. There are a lot geegaws and thigamajigs.

Im sure its normal if it was programmed with the ac off. Turn the AC on set the seat position and press and hold the #1 or #2 button on the memory pad on the door. It should flash for a sec. Then turn the car of then on and give it a shot.

The C-5 memory package is awesome . When you set it , you want to have the seat in the right position , the radio on the right station , or the CD on , along with the HVAC systom set where you like it . It controls all this and maybe more . Cliff

Thanks everyone

This fourm is awsome. Thanks for the replies. I think I will not end up owning this particular car as the dealer did not like the deal I offered, but still valuable into as I am still looking.

BTW - How do you close out something on here?
