2002 stereo into 96

My stock stereo was non-bose and had only the tape deck. I picked up the full system out of a 2002 last night. Deck with cd, 12 disk cd changer and all the bose speakers. Anyone know if this stereo will fit and if I'll have any other problems installing it? I don't have my 96 to look at right now, it's in the shop....

Same for 95

I want to do something similer and replace the head unit in my 95 with one of the brand new C5 radio units. Anyone know if that would work also?

It won't fit.

96 is a double DIN

97+ is a 1.5 DIN

I have the back plugs plus about 6 inches of wiring, they both use the same amount of wiring, don't they? If I splice according to which wire goes where it should work, right? I was wondering about the fit in the dash, from memory it looks as they would fit (same demensions).
