We just purchased a stunning 2003 Medium Spiral Grey Coupe with 34,000 miles and we're having trouble locating several RPO codes NOT listed in the 2003 specs section on this forum. Can someone please help explain the following codes?

1. FE9
2. IL3
3. SLM
4. UZ6
5. VM3
6. 1SZ
7. 191

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MY 04 Search

I had similiar problem researching the 2004 and I have this info.


FE9 Federal Emissions
UZ6 Speaker System 6, Quad Front Door Mounted, Dual Quarter Mounted

Don't remember the source. The other codes are listed for my vehicle but I have no info, sorry.

UZ6 is Quad Speakers as mentioned in the above post... It's listed on my BUILD SHEET which I purchased from the Museum.

I think that would be your best route, Don. Go to the NCM website and look for the link to purchase a reproduction Build Sheet and reproduction Window Sticker. It will list all the options your Vette was ordered with and a brief description of them. All you need is the VIN for your Corvette... and for less than $100 - at least it was when I ordered mine - you can get both documents, laminated and (I think) the latest edition of Mike Antonick's Corvette Black Book.

Congrats on the 03 MSGM - I have the 04 version. 191 = Black interior.

I went to our Chevrolet Dealer here in Amarillo and asked for a GM Vehicle Inquiry System Summary Report. They ran it and attached it to an email to me.

It is very detailed with maintenance, along with build information and delivery location as well as any and all replacement parts and service. Also comes a complete list of Codes for "Abby"

From my report I can add the following for ya

1. FE9 = 50 State Emissions
2. IL3 = ?? (I have IL4 and it =TRIM INTERIOR DESIGN)
3. SLM = Stock Orders
4. UZ6 = Bose Speaker and Amplifier System
5. VM3 = Consumer Information Label
6. 1SZ = ?? ( I have the 1SC = 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION * MEMORY PACKAGE *)
7. 191 = ?? (I have 154 and it = 50TH ANNIVERSARY SHALE)

I was able to glean this info from http://home.fuse.net/corvette/rpo.htm

FE9 = Certification, Federal Emission
IL3 = Trim, Interior Design (L3) (Base w/AQ9) AQ9 = Sport Seats
SLM = Stock Order Processing Code (replaced 1AY, circa 2001)
UZ6 = Speaker System, 6, Quad Front Door Mounted, Dual Quarter Mounted
VM3 = Label Information, consumer contains BPR IMP Standard
1SZ = Preferred Equipment Savings Group
19I = Interior Trim, Black (19i) not 191

Interior Color Numbers and Letters??

The CORVETTE BLACK BOOK shows code 193 for black interior in the 2003 and 2004(mine) model years. The book has no letters in any interior color codes. But I have seen 19i on other listings for black color. There is both 19i and 193 in my 2004 option list.

I also have noticed different wording for option number depending on the source. The CORVETTE MUSEUM (window sticker/build sheet) package sounds like a good deal.

Thanks to every one for posting their info. I now have 4 more of my options defined. Only 2 more to be complete, well 3 if you include the 19i/193.
