Just wanted to post a thanks to all here...for your help solving my problem. (again; earlier I had to replace a front blinker light and the easy way was to remove the air duct to brake to access the bulb)
I would have posted in the same thread but could not find it again.

Problem was my DIC and HUD would reset overnight but run OK once starting and driving. Mine is a C5 2004 coupe.

Correct diagnosis was battery was going dead....as explained in an earlier post.
Since I still was using the original batt (now 11 years old, and I live in MI) I did not hesitate to change to a new replacement batt; fearing cold starts may be a problem soon anyway.
The old batt was otherwise looking like new and starting/running everything fine (except for resets noted above).

OK final results: new batt solved the reset problems and all is fine again. I changed the batt in my garage at home and it was easy and all settings in the car and key fobs remained correct. I can only hope the new batt lasts a long time too...I bought the same exact replacement (unless unknown different inside) since 11 years life was excellent. Has top terminal posts. size 78 120min 590coldcrank
Only thing I did was to often use a battery tender for winter months when car sat in my garage (not heated but never sees below about 40 degrees) for some winters...otherwise it is a daily driver.

The battery tender is one of the reasons that you got 11 years out of your old battery, keep using it. 120 RC and a minimum 500 CCA is excellent, most people miss or overlook the importance of reserve capacity when purchasing a battery, good job.

Keeping any battery fully charged is the single best thing you can do for it. :)

As my C5 can really get ornery (lose TPMS FOBs and even throw codes) if the battery is allowed to get down; LLC5's advice is the best you will ever get on the subject.
