My 04 Z06 has a long hesitation when dumping clutch into 2nd gear on hard acceloration. Car has only 2000 miles and never been raced.Any thoughts and still under warranty till Feb.07.
I run Sunoco 93 octane.. FYI Thanks Jim

Maybe you could elaborate a bit.

Define hesitation:

Dump the clutch in second gear. If I understand you correctly your at a dead stop and dumping the clutch while in 2nd gear?

Do you mean the car feels like it hesitates when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear around 6700rpm? If this is the case you could be coming up on the rev-limiter.

From a dead stop with street tires I'll side step the clutch and about 2500rpm to 2800rpm then go to the floor with the gas pedal taking it through the gears shifting at 6500rpm In Competitive Driving Mode. There's a button on the console, hold it down for about 6 seconds and the DIC will display the competitive driving mode.

It takes practice so that you become comfortable how the car reacts so there is a learning curve.

Thats exactly what it was..Guess I should have read the manual, but its too easy to ask you all..
