i have repaired a 07 z06 that included replacing the radiator. after running the car to get the air out of the system we drove it to the dealer and there was a temp warning notice came up we shut the car down for 30-45 minutes and then restarted the car drove 2 blocks the light came on again we shut down and noticed then the upper rad hose was off what could cause this

You forgot to tighten the clamps on the upper hose or you didn't get them tight enough.

During your drive to the dealer, the engine warmed up quickly, the cooling system built pressure and the hose blew off. As soon as that happened, the engine pumped a lot of coolant overboard then overheated.

Also, if you did not follow the instructions in the Factory Service Manual as to the proper cooling system filing procedure, that, also, may have made the problem worse.

would this have led to the cyl cracking as we shut the car down and then towed it . also one dealer told us there was an internal coolant leak so we sent it to a corvette approved dealer they looked at it and then cleared it for the owner to pick up. he then drove 12 hours to the west coast and had to keep adding fluid to it
