Carlisle Events

CARLISLE, PA – Since its inception in 1982, Corvettes at Carlisle has been the go-to destination for all things Corvette. Millions of enthusiasts from the world over have flocked to Carlisle, Pennsylvania for the event and tens of thousands of Corvettes have been showcased. In 2013 (August 23-25), the world will once again get to see what Corvettes at Carlisle is all about via a pair of television programs filming onsite. The shows, "Corvette Nation" and "Classic Restos," will be at Carlisle all three days and in turn, will combine to generate 14 episodes that highlight aspects of the world's largest all-Corvette themed weekend.

Of the two shows, "Corvette Nation" is the new kid on the block. The show, produced by Goin’ Mobile Video Productions, debuts Friday night, September 13 on the Velocity Channel at 7 p.m. (eastern). Thirteen episodes comprise its first season and Corvettes at Carlisle will specifically be featured in one of the aforementioned 13. Additional aspects of the 2013 weekend will also be highlighted throughout the remaining 12 episodes. Production crews will be spending time with Lance Miller as a significant Corvette is featured during a 2-minute segment of every episode. Each car showcased, all 13 of them, will be invited back for the 2014 Corvettes at Carlisle weekend as part of a special display.

In addition to "Corvette Nation," "Classic Restos" will be filming. "Classic Restos" is an Australian-based show that has generated more than 300 episodes during its run down-under. The program is hosted by Mark "Fletch" Fletcher and this is not only Fletch's second time at Carlisle this year, it's also his second trip to Corvettes at Carlisle. Episodes of "Classic Restos" air in Australia, the U.K., New Zealand and in the states on Tuff TV. In addition, many Carlisle-themed episodes of "Classic Restos" are available after their initial airing via the "Classic Restos" official YouTube page (ClassicRestosTV - YouTube).

"The Corvette hobby is the most passionate group of individuals I know," said Lance Miller of Carlisle Events. "With this said, it’s nice to see Corvettes at Carlisle bringing in so many passionate car owners from all over the world. My father, Chip Miller, had a vision and his vision expanded much more than he ever thought possible," continued Miller. "The event still thrives ten years after my father’s passing from Amyloidosis and it brings me great pride knowing his event is strong enough that we can host multiple TV shows during event weekend. I love my job and I’m fortunate my father paved such a great path for me to follow."

In addition to "Corvette Nation" and "Classic Restos" filming, Corvettes at Carlisle offers a wide array of Corvettes for all to enjoy. Corvettes displayed span the history of the brand, from year one in 1953 to the all-new 2014 Stingray. Special guests are slated too, including Peter Brock, Wil Cooksey and Dave McLellan. Further, the minds behind the machine return as the GM Team, dozens of them, hold court and talk shop about the Corvettes for which they are directly responsible for the design and creation. Additional highlights include the downtown Carlisle Corvette parade and street party, Friday burnout competition, autocross, seminars and more. Tickets are $15 per adult Thursday-Saturday, $7 on Sunday and children 12 and under are free.
