Grand Sport 2013 GS rear side vent removal

I have a 2013 Grand Sport that I want to have some clear protection material applied and would like to know how to remove the rear, side brake vents that are between the rear tires and doors, if anybody has removed these in the past, I had seen a photo of the black vent and it looks like there are 2 small tabs on each side of the vent.
