Thanks, Rob. Nice post. Many years ago when I foolishly sold my '70 LT-1, the guy who bought it showed up in a midnight blue '64 coupe that had an equally-dark blue leather interior. That dark blue leather made the whole inside of that car look like it had been done by Rolls Royce or someone else at that level. With each new generation of Corvette, I'm always hoping to see that dark blue interior offered. Shucks again, I guess...

I like the Brownstone seat color. :w

Doesn't anyone else think the Sport seat needs a different base, with more bolstering? They look the same, and shouldn't be.

Seat Colors C7

I hope they have a Cashmere leather interior. Why do all the new seat colors look so dark?

I agree. I suspect that Chevy knows that most of those who order the performance seat will be doing so more for the look than anything else. If they added bolsters to match the back, they would get far more complaints from non-track guys about difficulty of egress that what they get from us about the lack of lateral support on the seat base. I'll just get the performance seats, throw in my Angel Pads when I'm at the track or doing canyon runs and get the best of both worlds.

Another member asked me if the suede inserts - an option - would come into different colors or just black. I received word today from the Corvette Team:
Yes.

They are available in black, grey, red, and "kalahari" which is a brown.

I guess I didn't read the color name correctly when you first posted it - I thought it said kalamari not "kalahari". :beer

Maybe it depends upon the color of the breading on the kalamari. :chuckle

I agree, it looks like car and driver will complain for another 8 years......

Only if they slide around while trying to corner in the car. With those pronounced side bolsters, maybe they won't...

Seats

I also noticed that the seat bottoms were alike. Actually the touring seats look to have better side bolsters on the seat backs. The cutouts on the sport seats would allow more arm and shoulder freedom in spirited driving. Not having sat in one I have no idea how far you sink into the seat. The seat bottom bolsters may be more than adequate. If in doubt order the suede inserts. Suede is a great butt gripper.
