DUBAI – Cementing its reputation as an industry leader, the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has grabbed Wheels’ highly acclaimed 2014 Best Sports Car of the Year title in the Middle East.
For sports car enthusiasts, the win certainly came as no surprise. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is the most powerful standard model ever, which combines a high-performance driving experience, innovative craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technologies.
“We are so pleased that judges have named the all-new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray the 2014 Best Sports Car of the Year,” said Maurice Williams, President and Managing Director of GM Middle East Operations. “We knew that the muscle car would resonate strongly amongst consumers – after all, it is the most powerful, most capable standard Corvette ever. Sharing only two parts with the previous generation Corvette, the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray boasts SAE-certified 455 horsepower and 624 Nm – and 460 horsepower and 630 Nm, with the available performance exhaust system. It is also the most capable standard model ever, with Z51-equipped models able to accelerate from 0 to 100kph in less than 4 seconds and achieve 1.03g in cornering grip.
