2015 Corvette Z06 Getting Supercharged LT4 Engine?

We learned recently that there was an embargoed press conference held by GM yesterday regarding more details of the 2015 Corvette Z06 set to make an appearance at the NAIAS in Detroit next month.

We received the following photo in an email this morning showing what appears to be a new LT4 engine, supposedly supercharged, that will appear in the 2015 Corvette Z06.

Interesting to say the least. They are running fire against an aluminum piston into and through an aluminum head, could that be an aluminum exhaust manifold?

If that is in fact the case, where does the ZR1 fit in the model lineup?

They may be going to keep it simple and not have a ZR1........Stingray and Z07........just a scientific wild ass guess on my part......
