I have a Tire size question. I know this has been asked/discussed a million times...
But I could not find a specific answer in the forums search.

My 82 currently has stock 255/60/15 GY GT II tires. I noticed they make a
275 size in the GT II. Thought this would be nice to get a little wider tire.
Will a 275 fit without any problems? I am hearing the back is not so much concern but the front could be. I want to be able to rotate my tires, so different sizes are not an option for me. My current tires from what I can tell were made in 99, so they are 10 yrs old :ohnoes. I want to be safe and replace them.

Thanks,

R

Might be too wide for stock 8" wheels also. Also on the rear you have worry about the parking brake cable bracket on the trailing arm.

OK. Thanks for the tips. Yep, did not think about the tire being taller. I guess that when you got to move to a lower profile and bigger wheel to make up for the wideness.
Thx,

255's are the widest you're gonna be able to use at all four corners.
