Just dropped the long block in the hole!

I dropped the LT1 intake off at the welder to get the fuel rails going for me...it will be ready in a couple of weeks.

That gives me time for other things.

I am going to get the accesories, etc. on including the exhaust, prime the oil pump...and wait for the intake...then zoom-zoom!

Hey Chris, it the distributor hole already drilled in the manifold?

Not yet. I am going to machine off the entire EGR port system from the LT1. Believe it or not (other than the air gap on the bottom), it looks just like a miniram after you do that...and you can put a big distributor on instead!

The guy at the welding shop is going to punch the hole and insert a tube. He will drop the intake on a spare engine, raise and lower the tube with distributor in place, then weld the tube where it rides best. This will provide a perfect seal and position for the distributor to ride.
