Here are a few photo's of the installation. This is the old engine coming out.:w

Looks great,Fred. I am waiting for it to get a little warmer up in these parts before I get to a little engine work on my car. When its 25 degrees outside it takes a while to heat up the garage.

Dave

Fred,
have you driven it yet??? if so, how would you rate the performance??? i hope you are loving it!!!!!! Brian

Brian, Have you ever started a small fix up (a leaking power steering fitting) project and it turn into a major ordeal? WELL, I got bit pretty hard yesterday. I was fixing the leak since I had the motor out. I had to beat the s#!+ out of the pwr steering slave cyl. to get it loose, even had to heat it...WELL, I hit the RADIATOR on the back swing with the hammer. Really ticked me off. Just enough damage to make me question the radiator's integrity. Did I mention how easy it is to get the shroud and the radiator OUT?
Anyway I still have about 4-5 more fixups to do while the engine is out. Headlight droop, touch up paint on parts of firewall, fix leak in wiper trough, etc. Sooo engine will go in after I fix all the details. Time to focus on the finer points now to make it eaiser later. Fred. :mad :mad :confused :confused :bang :bang

Vetdrms, Sounds like a great build to me. I'll let ya'll know when I get mine running. It could be a few weeks while I clean up a few messes. I can't wait!!! Good luck with you engine, Fred.:beer

Fred,
it is a SMALL engine bay isn't it?? just makes you want to throw in a basket case big block that needs constant service, right? bummer on the radiator, don't feel bad i chancked mine with the fan shroud and ended up with a pin hole. luckily it was at the top, so i fixed it in the car. i had problems with my steering also, everything was original and practically welded in place. it took everything short of a full nuke attack to get them to pop. i glad to see you have the time and patience to do all the detail work first, it is worth the wait by far. let me know when you have her running, Brian
