4 tail light conversion

Has anybody done this and how do you deal without backup lights.I'm thinking about doing this to my 82CE but the kits I see in the catalogs use those bubble lights and I'm not sure if thats the way I want to go,but my biggest concern is no backuo lights.

Ive got those bubble lights on mine (see attached) and yes reversing at night was a pain.

I got an auto electrician to wire the reversing curcuit form the tranny to the stop lights, so when reversing all the stop lights go on, which allows some night vision. The only other option was to add an additional lamp at the rear, but I liked the simple look the bubbles provide.

I work on tractor/trailors so I installed 4 "truck lite" flat red modular tail lts in my 78,im sure its the only kind around.Used the rubber groumets & just screwed em into the stock metal houseing. I was gona use LED"s but dont like the star pattern.
