Hey guys, anyone out there in vette land have or know of
a template for the mounting of the "427" numbers on the hood.

The assembly manual only shows exsisting holes, it apparent that my hood either was smoothed over (inside & out) or never had the existing holes
ANY HELP!!!!!! thanks:confused

I’m faced with the same dilemma, but I’m not about to drill holes in my new hood, and especially the new candy paint. I’m going to grind off the mounting pegs and use adhesive tape to mount them on. I haven’t seen any templates either, so the best I can do is use painters tape to get me some lines on the hood and go from there. One thing I keep telling myself… If I drill holes and mess up, I’m really screwed. At least adhesive is removable.

Just my thoughts. Good luck with yours.

The best advice I can offer is that someone with a BB C3 may be willing to remove the numbers and trace a template for you, showing the position relative to a known item.....then they snail mail it to you.

There are measurements in my '67 A.I.M., but I find them unhelpful in relation to actual placment on the hood.
