I've got a 2003 50th anniversary edition. The cars motor was blown and the guy I bought it from replaced the motor. The car sat for a long time before anything was done to it. It has never shifted on its own but I can rev it up to 4300rpm (transmission shop verified) and let off and it will shift to 3rd. Someone suggested that a rebuild kit on the valve body could solve this. Transmissions are not my strong suit and I would appreciate your opinions. I'm happy to have it rebuilt but if the valve body can fix it all the better. Thanks
