4L80E transmission questions

Okay, here's a question:

Does the 4L80E transmission use a four-place shifter (PRN + OD D 2 1) or a three-place shifter (PRN + OD 2 1)?

Some truck transmissions use a switch to lock out ovedrive, rather than the shifter, and the 4L80E is derived from the three-speed TH400 with an added overdrive, so I was wondering what sort of shift pattern it would use?

Yeah, those are the ratios...

But I want to know what the shifter layout is, physically. Is it a three-speed shifter, with a button for overdrive on/off, or a four-speed shifter with a unique location for overdrive...
