I am wondering if it might be better to change oil weights for my LT4 since it has 60k on it from 5w-30 to 10w-30 of course sticking to Mobil-1.What do you think. Thanks Kevin.

Combine the Mobile1 coupon with the Purolator PureOne coupon, and it's a pretty good deal!

The problem with 5W30 is that it's a little thin for high-performance use with best durability. In fact, if you do autoX or track day events with that 96, you definitely want to change. 5w30 uses a higher percentage of VI improvers to get the wide vis. range. The VI improvers do nothing for lubrication and, when oil temperature gets really high (during severe duty) they shear down, their VI ability is somewhat degraded and the oil thins a bit.
Bottom line, Mobil 1 10W30 is a better choice and a premium, ester-based synthetic is even better.

I just put on a NAPA (WIX) and took off an ac delco. I was looking at them & noticed the rubber gasket on the wix was about 2/3 as wide as the ac. I have no leaks so I guess it's ok, but was surprised to see the high rated wix with a thin gasket:eek
