I have noticed a couple of drops of transmission fluid coming from the FRONT of my 6 speed transmission. Where the transmissioin connects to the driveshaft tunnel. There are a couple of holes and it appears that is where it is coming from. I have wiped it clean about six times but after about 100 miles of driving, the drops reappear. Leaving it sit after cleaning does not appear to result in an addition leakage. The fluid is at the correct level. I changed the fluid about 1000 miles ago, but I had indication that it was leaking before changing it. I drained it and refilled with Royal Purple Synchromax fluid.
I need to get some background on this problem before taking it to the dealership.

I noticed you live by me. Sun Chevrolet on RT 19 has a dedicated corvette mechanic, he is good, honest guy.

I agree that Sun is very good. But i live and work really close to Washington Chevrolet and they have a really great mechanic there that I really trust. They did a good alignment on my car earlier this year.

Had the same problem with my 03!! Started noticing a drip about 4,000 miles, and 2nd was hard to get into!! Case was cracked between 2 mounting bolts,Looked Like a Casting Flaw!!:upthumbs

i had the same prob.....leaking down the centerline of the tranny case....

Sounds like the front seal or, as suggested above, the case part line in the front is leaking. This car is under warranty so, put ATF back in the trans before you take it in.
