I want to put Dunlop Sport A2 or 5000 P225/60/15 on my 72.........
I need to know if the front tires will rub??
If so.......suggestions for the front??
Also if anyone is running Dunlop sports....Do they ride good?
TIA Bill

You'll find that size looks a little dinky in the wheel wells.

The generally accepted sizes are 225/70-15 or 255/60-15. Some folks also use 245/60-15. In your case, a combo of 245/60-15 in front and 255/60-15 in back might be best as an insurance policy against rubbing.

By the way, I have 255/60-15s all the way around.

Thanks for info.
My main thing is that the front tires don't rub.
Thanks, Bill

60's ona 72?

does the 255 60 15 have any effect on your speedometer? i am considering the same on my 76. 255 60 15 on the rear, 235 70 15 on the front. thanks in advance. Duck

im running 275/60/15 on the rear with a 225/70/15 on the front fills the wheel wells just right on my car.

We're running 205/70-15 Dunlop Sport A2's on my wife's 2000 Nissan Altima. Now, I know her car is no Vette, but they ride and handle excellent especially in the rain and snow. The ride is quiet, the dry traction is outstanding, and they have a 420 treadwear rating. If you go to the tire rack's website and check them out you will see that they are rated right at the top of they're class with the Michelin's.

:v

These are 255/60-15 on my '72....and they don't rub...

245/60/15

I have 245/60/15's on my 72 coupe. No problems. I'm going up to a 255/60/15 next time.

Does anyone know the conversion for the old tire format to the newone. What I mean is the stock tires are F70/15. Is that equivalent to 195,205 etc?
