Seeking advice on what to rechrome and what to replace as well as recommended platers.
Front bumpers: One has a 3" crease and the other has a rust through area about a 2" oval.
Back bumpers and rear bumperette: Overall good with minor dings
Grill mouldings: Heavily pitted. Are these pot metal and can they be rechromed?
Tail light and front directional housings: Pot metal? Heavily pitted.
Door posts: Heavy pitting in some areas.
Windshield: Is the windshield frame part stainless steel and part chrome?
Is it more economical to send all the parts to the plater at once. Or should I send out one and see how it looks?
Thanks as usual for any advice.

Well, I'll throw in my $.02...
Bumpers are available but cost almost double what replating costs. Sounds like your rears are probably replate material, but the rusty front may not be unless you want to do a patch job. Ask the plater.
Grille moldings are around 500 a set and if yours are as heavily pitted as some I've seen I would just replace them.
Lights I just replace. Yes, the w/s frame has mixed materials. Door post & w/s posts can be replated. I think I paid just under $500 for the last set of 4. Fix your w/s post tabs while you are at it. I send out as much as I can at once and get it done. I use a local plater and negotiate the whole job. It looks like you are pretty close to needing this stuff, so don't put it off. Lead times can get out there this time of year.

I agree.the pot metal items are pricey sometimes to get plated but its just something that has to be done.I would suggest searching Hemmings for some platers in your area .I can recommend some but they will have to be shipped.Knox chrome and Tri city plating in Tennesee are both good.

I would call or ask numerous questions through emails before bidding. When I had mine re-chromed, they checked the front edge to insure there was enough metal to clean up and provide a good base. They did a nice job on the exterior, but the interior another problem. They didn’t even clean the scale from the inner walls. They are supposed to re-chrome this winter at no charge. If they provide this service I will provide you with their address and number.

Thanks Ray for the info & the link. Do you know if there is a slight difference between the 58-60 bumpers and the 61-62?

I just looked up the part numbers and if I am reading it correctly they have different part numbers. I would email the seller asking him if there is a difference and exactly what year they were from.
