63 Light under dash

Just bought a 63 Coupe few weeks ago, pulling engine and doing work as we speak, trying to get ready for Carlisle. When you drive at night, I have a light on under the dash board that almost lights up the gas/brake peddle area. Is this normal for a 63? If not any ideas of what the heck is going on?

Look under your dash and post a description of where the light seems to be coming from. It would also be benefitial to know if all of your instrument and accessary lights are working. I'll take a look under my dash to see if we can determine what the fix will be.

You're not talking about the "courtesy light" are you?

Car is in the shop getting motor and transi pulled. I will do this as soon as I get it back. To me it appears the floor courtesy light could be on. Thanks....Collin (EBVETTE)
