Would some one have a picture of the rear spring from the top view? The differential housing on my 63 has been replaced with a GM replacement and the spring looks different than the 65 in appearance. I believe that the 63 spring was a one-year only with arched upper leaf, but was there any other differences in appearance?

Thanks for any help!

Ray, '64-up springs looked like the one in the photo below; nine leaves, with the bottom six cambered and the top three flat; F41, only available on solid-lifter big-blocks and fuelies, had seven leaves, all of which were cambered.

The 63's used a one-year-only nine-leaf spring, with all nine leaves cambered; all '63-'77 springs were 2-1/4" wide, and the rear cover took 9/16" spring plate bolts; '78-up were 2-1/2" wide, and that cover used 7/16" bolts.

Ray, mine is 7-leaf, since I have Z06 - so wouldn't do yo any good

Thanks John! The 63 spring that I just removed has has a bump at the end of each leaf and the end of the spring does not curl up like the 65. Was there any other difference between the 63 spring and other mid year spring other than the camber in the top leaves?

As always John,

Thanks for the advice!

Ray
