The lines and the details really become apparent now. We are going to let the car set, and put it in the sun fro a few days, then we start the process of wet sanding and buffing....next step is to do the engine compartment.....then trim it out and it will be FINISHED....Ocean City looks good so far....

it's looking great! You are right, that really is a very silver color :)

if you can get her done on time, there is also a nice car show in Atlantic City on Sept. 26th where all the cars get to drive along on the boardwalk.
If my car is out of the body/paint shop by than i'll be there.

This thing looks like my Pewter 63 Corvette Model.....MAN is that silver...

Pure artistic beauty! What incredible lines and very silver... not gray!

Just wait till we finish the wet sanding and buffing....all that hard work and prep we did for almost a year is starting to pay off....my advise I have is the same advise that I listen too....TAKE YOUR TIME WITH PREP, 90% of the hardest work is the prep...painting is relatively easy.... Hear these words over the years, hated to miss Carlisle, but these works stuck in my mind and I am very glad that I listend and acted on them.....its worth it when you see the results.:_rock

1963 Restoration

Great looking 1963. I can't wait to see the finished pictures when all the finial detailed work is done. I will start the restoration on my 1963 in October.

Great Work! Great car!

Good luck Collin!

Of course we all know it takes much more then just luck. I'm looking forward to seeing the resto project as it progresses. Keep us posted with photos and descriptions as to the various stages of reassembly.

Best Regards,
Mike

Wow! Best looking silver I've seen in years and it isn't even finished out yet. Love the way the painter got the coves behind the side windows. A painter I know tells me they're always a pain in the butt to get right with no runners and not leaving the inner curves too thin.

If you're going to be in OC, I'll see you there. So far I know I'm bringing my ZR still debating on bringing the 67. Are you in any of the shows?

I hope to have the car ready for the Concours at OC....keep fingers crossed.

Your patience really paid off. Looks fantastic. Can't wait to see it finished with everything on. Time to toast to your successful paint job. Cheers. :beer . Thanks for the great pictures and keep up the great work. Hopefully we'll get to see you at Carlisle next year. Congrats again on a fantstic job.

Beautiful job. The base/clears really bring out the colors and metallics. When they tell you that a paint job is only as good as the prep they aren't kidding.

Tom

Any further updates since you got back from your trip? Everything going as planned? How is the wet sanding looking? Look forward to hearing about your progress.
Cheers
