Hello All,
I replaced the carpeting in my 64 coupe and am having trouble fitting in the rear quarter panels. Can any one post some pictures of both rear quarter panels?
63 to 67 should give me an idea of what I'm doing wrong.
And yes I made the cardinal sin of not taking photos before I took the old out. But this is a lesson learned.

It seems to me that when I replaced my carpets, they had to go in in a sequence: Back panel, sides, then bottom. Then the side covers behind the seats. Passenger side was the hardest to get the screws into. I used 3M carpet adhesive. DON'T get any adhesive on the visible side of the carpet.
If you do, let it dry and trim it out gently. I also had to make some funky braces to hold the rear carpet in place. Even used 2x4's and motorcycle tires leaned up against it! after a few trys, it worked. Storage tray was a little tricky also. I used the 3M spray on it too, and ALL of my wife's clothes pins to hold it in place until it dried. :D

Hope this helps!

dragonheart,

First, a great big welcome to :CAC

Second, I agree with carollm. I used a similar method with my rear carpets.
