Where did you score the vinyl dye?

You can purchase the original "satin" black for the dash metal surfaces from any one of the Corvette Suppliers out there or you could use Rustoleum "Satin" black code #7777 oil enamel available ot most hardware or Lowes etc. stores in either quart or arisol cans. Clean surface well with solvant and mask before spraying then let dry a couple of days to make sure of curing. dt

Welcome abourd to our forum.:CAC

The only product I have had luck with is a product made from a company called SEM the products name is trim paint black # 39143
I bought it from the eastwood tent at corvettes of carlilse,I aslo purchased there self etching primer for clean metal. All of the other products I used I had problems with fish eyeing And I understand that oil causes fish eyeing but I used every solvent I could find and nothing was sticking.

Good luck
