Anyone have experience with "undercar chambered exhaust" for the midyear? I've got a good looking driver but don't car much for the way the existing exhaust (particularly the mufflers) hang. From the rear of the car, you can see too much of the system dangling. Would love to put side exhausts on but can't afford $2k to make that happen. Mid America offers the undercar chambered system that may be more to my liking. Is this a good supplier or is there a better one elsewhere? Is this system significantly loader than the correct system? I don't want a "cherry bomb or glass pack kind of sound! A little more noise is okay but don't want to go to extremes.

Thanks,

Bill

My 65 came with one from the previous owner and it sounds good. Or at least the other Vet owners say that it sounds "right". Mine doesn't hang down any farther than the normal exhast but it did.
The guy that put it in ran the pipe three quarters of an inch away from the transmission on both sides (that wasn't good) and then the mufflers hung low in back a bit. I took it to a shop that deals in hot rods and told them what I wanted. After they picked themselves off the floor from laughing at the installation, they fixed it right.
It looks goods and sounds like side pipes.

Sorry I don't. It was there when I got it and I didn't see any brand names on the mufflers. It's a stainless system so it wasn't cheap I am certain.
