My '67 L71 427/435 coupe starts great when cold and seems to flood easily when warm. My mechanic is telling that this is the nature of the beast and that I'll have to live with it! Is this true? Does any one have a fix for this? My car is totally original so I'm not willing to do any changing....just adjusting.
Please help!

I'd first check the obvious, like float levels. Further, I'd check choke operation from dead cold to running condition, on more than one occasion.

Good luck.

427/435 Tri-power

67 Heaven is right-on, My 67 427/435 Tri-power was doing the same thing and i found the center carb's float level was too high. Made the proper adjustment to the center carb to lower the fuel level to just below the sight plug, also checked the front and rear carb's float levels so they are in spec.

Good Luck,
Don

This is not the "nature of the beast", you need a new mechanic!
