67 corvette front nose emblem

im attempting to put my front emblem on -when i gel coated the car in the painting stage the holes were filled-does or can anyone measure some distances for the front emblem holes--if yours is apart the distance from the hood ledge to the holes would be great--thanks

Keith:

You can locate 2 of the 4 holes by looking at the underside of the front header bar. You will see 2- 5/8" holes for the speed nuts drilled into the sheetmetal. If you drill 1 or 2 of these thru from the inside out, that should give you enough to properly locate the emblem. What you are trying to do, is find the original holes, which should still be visible from the inside.

Mine isn't apart, but from the edge of the hood opening to the inside of the bottom point of the "V" measures exactly 2".
