67 ww motor replacement

A friend is working on a 67' windshiel wiper motor and is wondering the procedure on replacing on. He is a mechanic but is unfamiliar with older vettes.
Is it straight forward, he said he couldnt hardly see it behind the distributor.

is there ANYTHING on Bob's car that can be referenced to a "stock" '67 considering the level of changes he's made??!!

You will have to remove the four mounting bolts on the inside of the firewall to get the motor out. There is also a clip where the two connecting rods come together on the shaft that rotates them. Remove the glove box to make life easier.

Then, remove your distributor cap and chrome ignition box and you should be able to get it out.

Plan on a couple of hours just for re and re....not counting repairs.

Thank you. I passed on the information. Its a beautiful car he's working on. Has 17" Torq Thrust rims in back and I think they must be 15" or 16" in front, red of course, 427 but no side pipes and disk brakes all around, I didnt get to take a ride in it but it sounds great. Thanks again.
