Anybody have any experience with body mounts???

Checking the guide pin holes in the door sills I find that the body is about 1/2 hole off....I have noticed in the past that one rear tire sticks out of the fender well further than the other...I've just gotten around to checking while I have had the beast tore apart over the last month.

I have loosened all 4 mount bolts...is it possible to slide/caress the body over or do I have several other points to loosen before trying this??

Being off presents a problem with the right frt tire rubbing the fender and I want to correct this now...

Thanks for the help...

Cee I dropped you an email with my out come. Shifting the body is a big deal. however. I found major flaws in the alignment of my 75, and sagging front springs. I'm in the process of replacing all the suspension on her and I'll let you now the outcome Hopefully late March. Jim

Thanks Jim - saw your e-mail

Chris - thanks for the help. I took off the bumpers as you suggested and shook this thing all around. Tried lifting at the cubbies but I heard the crack before it started to move. Even tried jacking up at the #4 mount pad. It came up enough to rotate the mount. Also tried behind the rocker panels, this thing must be glued to the frame.....I couldn't get the body to budge.....after two days of trying I gave up......

Best left for another day.........my patience is thin and so is the fiberglass....

Thanks again...

Cee
