68 offset/stock trailing arms

What is the widest rim that can be used with each....I liked the 69 ZL1 on the cover of Vette mag ..It was running 315/35/17 tires under stock flares offset trailing arms ....It looked great and I could swap out tires off my Zr1 ,,,Any thoughts ...on tire/rim combos

with 17" or larger wheels and offset trailing arms you can go as wide as 305. Just use 5.25" backspacing.
