I'm replacing the radiator and radiator support in my brother's 69. Someone told me I should consider using 73 or newer parts because of a design advantage. Has anyone heard of this and what is involved? Car is a 350, 300 HP. I want a new radiator and new or very good support. The radiator I took out was a copper/brass, and that is what I want to put back in. Any ideas for places to buy radiator and support or other ideas or comments or general conversation appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

I think the 73 radiator support mounts differently to the crossmember that the previous ones. Not sure if that presents a problem or not, or if they can bolt up easily.

There's no design advantage to the '73 and up config. that I know of. It's not better, just different.

The best configuration you can get for your car is what it came with in the first place.
