My 69 needs new sneakers,it has Goodyear ST 225-70-15's on it and are not in that bad shape, was wondering what a good setup on this would be? Would like to go 60's all around but don't want any trouble with rubbing, Stock rallys on car, My 68 Camaro has BF Goodrich comp ta's and I like them, any suggestions?

Pappy,
Congrats on the car, looks and sounds good.....

Do a search on tires, this topic has been running around the C3 forum for a couple of months now.

Alot of folks are running 255/60R-15 but they do rub on my 68. I believe 245's may alleviate that problem.

Look around anyway, several threads on this.

I took off my 225/70's and put on 235/60's(BF Goodrich). It is the only tire that will not rub on the front. If you want all 4 to be the same size, that's about the limit. I know of several folks that run the 235's on the front and 255's on the rear. It looks cool, but no rotation.
Good luck,
Rick

This matches my experience as well. I had 235/60/15s and they didn't rub. My latest 245/60/15 radial T/As do slightly rub the frame rail at full lock. Not enough to cause a problem, but enough to rub off the paint after a while.

BF Goodrich comp ta's
:TALK I use the BF Goodrich Comps and I think they look good and perform great.......
