Has anyone tried to install this type of kit in their trannys?
I know its not easy, one slight mix up and there goes the trans.
Whose kit is best and easiest to install?
Thankyou
tony

The two I have been looking at are the B&M Shift Improvement kit and the TransGo kit.

I do not want to shift my car manually either so I am not sure what I will do.

One thing tough....the TransGo kit says it has the option of either manual or fully automatic shifting. Anyone know if that is done via dropping the trans pan or flipping some kind of switch or such???

Best place to ask those questions are at www.netgearhead.com. They have this site with certified techs that will answer any question relating to any type of trans. Most specifically for us the 700R4 & the next generation 4L60E. From what I've read they say the Transco Reprogramming kit is the way to go. The B&M is supposedly crap and a much inferior product. I got a lot of usefull information from them for diagnosing my sick trans. I finally had to rebuild the 700R4 in my 92. The rebuilder that did mine put in 8 clutches instead of the stock 6 for more holding power. Plus I had the shifts firmed up as well and had a 2500 stall convertor put in. It was pricey at $2,500 but with the new 3.54 rear end gears, it kicks some serious ass. Take care.....
