Question: 73 convertable top hard to put up

Is there a way to make soft top easier to put up without getting someone to help you? sometimes I am by my self and I can't get the top up without a struggle. Any ideas? Thanks

Make sure all the pivot points in the top frame linkage are properly lubricated and put it up and down a few times, and it should be fine. Always grab the header at the center when raising the top, not at one side.

What is the best lube for this? I don't want anything that will drip or discolor the top. Thanks for the reply.

A light oil (like 3-in-One), applied sparingly to the bushings and pivot points; wipe off any excess.
