Hi all, being that I've decided I must have a 4 speed convertable, I'm selling my '73. She's an all original 102,000 mile survivor. no rust at all, anywhere. original paint, with factory bond seams still visible. Elkhardt green, with med saddle interior. the carpet shows minor wear, but still shows well. int is all original, everything works, including the clock, factory am/fm, power windows. Original and untouched #'s matching L-48 350, and auto trans. I believe the alternator and carb are also original, although I haven't ran the #'s on those components. Factory AC, although it does need charging. usually I would say they need more than charging, but it appears to still have some freon in the system, just not enough. no body damage anywhere. It still wears the original paint it left the factory with in 1973, although it is lacquer checked after 32 years. from 20 feet away, the paint looks perfect. Always parked inside, and I believe I am the 3rd owner. The last owner had it for quite some time, and the sticker is still on the windshield for the country club he lived in. looking down into the oil fill shows a spotless engine inside. stock and 100% original exhaust. If you wondered what it was like to drive a 73 shark when it was new, this is how you find out. Nothing has been monkey'd with on this car. you will not be disappointed. asking price- $12,000.

Sense of Humor?

Chad,

I'm not picking on you but....I got a kick out of the change in your perspectives going from buyer two weeks ago (some surface rust on the frame and original paint fair at best) to seller (no rust at all, anywhere and...from 20 feet away, the paint looks perfect). From what I've read, it sounds like a nice ride. If you turn the profit you expect to ;) , you're well on your way to that blue, 4-speed vert. Good luck!

H3 :w

original paint is fair at best (IMHO), but from 20 ft away, it does look great. every frame has some surface rust, unless a recent resto was just done. so I don't consider that to even be worthy of mention. but again, that's just my opinion. hell, if i could find the car that fits my description, i'd buy it today, and sell this one later, but it seems when you're looking for a certain car, it's never there. of course, after i end up buying something else that's maybe not the right color, etc, the exact car i wanted would go up for sale the next day. such is life. anyway, i think it's accurately described, and being that i'm learning as I go, what I considered major issues when i bought the car, I find out are totally normal. when i saw the factory bond seams through the paint, i freaked out, thinking the car was wrecked at one point in time. now I know better.
