74 convt or coupe ???

picked up a 74 vette this past weekend. Its a numbers matching convertible, with the exception of the 37 in the vin. I carefully checked the windshield frame to see if the vin tag had ever been changed....it looks original in the frame...so here I have a vert, with a coupe vin...any reason other than it was changed at some point in time????

Does the A pillar Vin tag match the tag on the engine block? (found on the front of the passenger side of the motor just underneath the head... where it meets the block).

The pillar tag number matches the head number exacly

I still have the 74 coupe...or I should say my girlfriend now claims it. I always wanted a ragtop.The one I picked up came with enough parts for two vettes
