Help! 74 SB A/C condensor out of car.

Take it ti a radiator/AC shop. If they can't test it, the shop is not a capable one. Those guys test systems for a living all day. A good shop will test it and can usually fix any small leaks.
 
Yes, you can test it. Simply cap it off, make up a fitting adapter so you can screw one of the AC Hose Set hoses to the one end and apply compressor air pressure through the gauge set to pressurize the condenser. The condensor is designed to run at over 200 psig, and your compressor won't put out much more than 125, so lock it up at 125 psig and spray the condenser down with soapy water - any leaks will show up as bubbles. If you have a plastic kiddie pool, you can submerge it in water and look for bubbles.
