75 Dash Pad Speaker Grills

I've been refinishing the interior and have noticed a crack in the speaker grill area of the dash pad. This is part of the dash pad and not removable.. The rest of the dash is in perfect condition. Has anyone retrofitted some sort of speaker grills in these that look good? I'd hate to discard an otherwise perfect dash just for this. I've seen some sort of pads that go over the whole dash, but they don't appeal to me too much.

i'm rebuilding a 75 now. is there pieces missing??mine was all there but cracked, i removed the dash and glued it from the back.worked out well.you could go to a car audio store and see what they have in grilles.it will hide the boo boos but won't look right. if mine didn't work, replacement was next.mike

Hi Mike,
No pieces missing, just cracked like yours. I could glue it from the back as you suggested, but it's just going to get worse as time goes on. A new one os over $300 so I'm not anxious! Maybe I can locate some low profile metal or plastic grills and paint them the same color as the dash. I'll keep looking.
