I have a 75 Stingray I bought about 10 years ago that looked to be in great shape, didnt know what really to look for when I bought it, so I started to tinker around with it changing a couple of things here and there.
I decided to change the body mounts one day and I discovered that there was rust on the metal frame where the front body mount goes on to (the one that you have to remove a cover under the dash board to get to) well I couldnt have that, so I started taking the car apart, long story short its been eight years since I took the body of the frame and I never finished it.
I think I will begin working on her again, as I was saying about the rust, it seems to have started from the winshield frame and trickeled its way down to the bottom of the metal frame, does anyone have experience fixing a problem like this that can give me some pointers, it has two rust holes on the corners of the winshield frame I have removed the windshield and the doors, it also has rust in the I guess are a metal brace that hold the windshirld frame and then at the bottom where the body mount goes.
one last thing all that gooey black tar like stuff around the windshield frame, how do you get that stuff off, I need help, I think one of the reasons my car has been sitting for so long is because im lost, anyone want to come down to Florida and help me. lol
