76 Front Air dam or spoiler

I have a 76 that has what appears to be a 78 Pace Car Style spoiler on the front. I intend to remove this and put the correct spoiler (air dam) for this year back on it. Does anyone know if the original spoiler was painted or just black ? Thanks

It's made of black plastic and does not need to be painted--I just did mine on my '77; I got it on Ebay for 22.00 new--fit perfect and looked identical to the old one I pulled off. Soak all the screws in WD-40 the night before, they're on tight!

If your old (78 Pace car) is the 3 piece I would be interested if the price was right :L

I thought it may be black. The old pace car one is painted white and it is 3 pieces. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet Craigsr. It does appear to be in very good shape.

It's definitely black. I've replaced the orignal way back when. I think I got mine from Mid America. It's an easy replacement.
