76 owners, need help...

When I bought my 76 it came with a Hurst shifter. I want to get one of those replica factory-looking handles to keep it looking stock. Problem is, I dont know if the knob should be blaqck or chrome on that year.

I would like to order it today so I can get it by Saturday, so any help would be appreciated.

My 76 has the black chrome one, but I think either would be correct.

I believe that's black plastic ball with chrome reverse-lock button.

That's correct.

The regular chrome ones were for C2 cars and (mebbe) '68

Make sure your Hurst shifter has a bolt-on handle so you can change it - some models had the handle welded to the shifter.

Black chrome

My 73 was black chrome but I got chrome because I like it better!!

My 76 has the original shifter as pictured above but the steering wheel in that picture isn't a 76. 76 shared it's steering wheel with the Vega.:ugh
