77-82 low fuel warning module,. can annybody fix these things??????????:W

Mine did not work, but upon closer inspection I discovered that it was a simple break in the solder. I got out my trusty radioshack $6.00 solder kit and fixed it.

I performed this repair about 10 yrs ago, so my memory may be off. The low fuel light should have a small circuit board. On the back side are some soldered joints. The split in the solder was very small and almost not noticeable. I think I used a continuity tester to check the solder and that's how I discovered the split in the solder joint. Hope this helps.

On an 80, you can remove the circuit board by removing the glove box.
I think Willcox is selling a replacement board.

Low Fuel Warning Module for 77-82 Vette

Low fuel warning modules are available right now on ebay for $30. They are brand new units with a warranty. I have one in my 79 and it works fine. They fit 77-82 Vettes. It was easy to install through the glove box opening. Just do an ebay search for corvette low fuel warning module. There were 7 available when I last checked.
