I bought a 79 Vette that currently has no emmisions devices on it (EGR valve, AIR system, etc.) Did the Canadian cars (like mine) come with any differences in emmissions equipment. While looking at new headers I've read some footnotes that leads me to believe there might not have been an AIR system on some 79's. I'd like to get all emmissions equipment back on so I can avoid inspection hassles. Thanks for any info you provide.

Corvettes sold new in Canada had the same engines and emission systems as U.S.-sold cars. For '79, all California cars, "high-altitude" cars, and all L-82's used A.I.R. pump systems; all others used the CCS system (no A.I.R. pump). L-82's weren't available in California or "high-altitude" areas in 1979.

Thanks. I kind of figured that I had to have one. Now I just need to find replacements. I think I saw a kit in an Eckler's catalog somewhere.
